Many companies are just awakening to the environmental hangover they face as they consider what to do with the mountains of used and obsolete computers piling up in their storerooms, as new models come on the market every year. In 1992, the Environmental Protection Agency banned the landfill dumping of CRT's. The EPA began targeting companies that dispose large quantities of CRT's through landfills. In addition to the EPA, The Junta de Calidad Ambiental of Puerto Rico, is now monitoring the disposal of CRT's and other computer equipment. A corporation holds all liabilities for their assets until liability has been released in writing. That means if a PC or electronic equipment was previously purchased by your company and somehow ends up in a landfill, your company is liable for that product and damage it has caused. Our goal at Caribbean Hi-Tech Recyclers Inc. is to recycle all materials properly, eliminating the liability of these items for your company. To learn more about us, click any item on our menu.
